A comprehensive range of HDPE and polyethylene fittings for water supply, irrigation, sewerage, industrial piping and infrastructure projects. Products include PE100 butt-fusion fittings, electrofusion fittings, fabricated fittings, flange adaptors, Hansen compression fittings and Buteline PE clamp fittings in various sizes and configurations.
HDPE fittings provide connections, changes of direction, branches, reductions, terminations and transitions within polyethylene piping systems.
The range includes PE100 butt-fusion fittings, electrofusion fittings, socket-fusion fittings, fabricated fittings, PE stub ends, flange adaptors, tapping saddles and Hansen compression fittings for compatible polyethylene pipes.
Different fitting systems are available for potable-water distribution, irrigation, sewerage under pressure, pumping, industrial services, marine pipelines and underground infrastructure. The correct fitting must match the pipe’s outside diameter, PE material grade, SDR, pressure rating and intended application.

Butt-fusion fittings are manufactured from compatible polyethylene material and joined to HDPE pipes using controlled heat, alignment and fusion pressure.
Common products include:
Butt-fusion fittings are commonly used for medium- and large-diameter water mains, sewerage rising mains, industrial pipelines and major infrastructure projects.
Electrofusion fittings contain built-in electrical heating elements. A compatible electrofusion control unit supplies the required fusion cycle to join the fitting to the prepared pipe surface.
Common products include:
Electrofusion is particularly useful for repair work, restricted spaces, branch connections and installations where butt-fusion equipment has limited access.
Correct pipe preparation, scraping, cleaning, alignment and clamping are essential for a reliable electrofusion joint.
Buteline PE fittings provide a compact mechanical connection system for compatible polyethylene cold-water pipes. The Malaysia-market fittings are manufactured from durable black engineering polymer and are available in 20 mm, 25 mm and 32 mm sizes.
Their slimline, one-piece construction has no loose O-rings, pipe inserts, grab rings or sliding sleeves. The pipe is inserted fully into the fitting before the factory-fitted metal sleeve is clamped using the corresponding Buteline PE clamp tool.
Common Buteline PE products include:
Buteline PE fittings should be used with the correct Buteline-compatible pipe, fitting size and clamp tool. Hansen compression fittings, Buteline PE clamp fittings and heat-fusion fittings use different connection methods and should not be treated as interchangeable systems.
Hansen compression fittings provide a mechanical connection for compatible polyethylene pipes without requiring heat-fusion equipment. Their compact construction and easy-grip compression nuts make them suitable for water supply, irrigation, agricultural systems and service connections.
Common Hansen products include:
The exact Hansen fitting series must be selected according to the pipe material, outside diameter, wall construction and thread requirement. Hansen MD compression fittings are commonly designed for compatible metric polyethylene pipe systems.
Socket-fusion fittings are commonly used for smaller-diameter polyethylene piping. The outside surface of the pipe and the internal socket of the fitting are heated using compatible socket-fusion tools before being joined.
Common products include couplers, elbows, tees, reducers, end caps and threaded adaptors.
Fabricated fittings are produced from HDPE pipe sections using controlled cutting and fusion processes. They are commonly used when moulded fittings are unavailable in the required size, angle or configuration.
Products may include:
The pressure capability of fabricated fittings may differ from the connecting pipe and moulded fittings. Manufacturer data and project design calculations should be reviewed before selection.
| Fitting category | Common size range |
|---|---|
| Hansen Compression Fittings | Approximately 16–100 mm, depending on series |
| General Compression Fittings | Approximately 16–110 mm |
| Socket-Fusion Fittings | Approximately 20–110 mm |
| Butt-Fusion Moulded Fittings | Approximately 20–630 mm |
| Electrofusion Fittings | Approximately 20–630 mm |
| Large Electrofusion Couplers | Up to approximately 1200 mm for selected systems |
| Fabricated HDPE Fittings | Approximately 160–1200 mm and above |
| Stub Ends and Flange Adaptors | Approximately 20–1200 mm and above |
Actual size availability depends on the fitting type, manufacturer, SDR, pressure rating and project quantity.
| Specification | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Outside Diameter | The actual outside diameter of the compatible PE pipe |
| PE80 / PE100 | Polyethylene material-strength classification |
| SDR | Relationship between pipe diameter and wall thickness |
| PN Rating | Nominal pressure classification at the specified reference temperature |
| Fusion Type | Butt fusion, electrofusion or socket fusion |
| Mechanical Connection | Compression, threaded or flanged connection |
| Thread Standard | Commonly BSP or NPT, depending on the product |
| Flange Standard | PN, ASME/ANSI, JIS or another specified drilling system |
| Fusion Parameters | Manufacturer-specified heating, cooling and control requirements |
PE100 fusion fittings may be supplied for pressure classes including:
PN10 and PN16 are commonly specified for Malaysian water-supply and infrastructure projects.
The fitting’s SDR and PN classification should be compatible with the connecting pipe. A fitting does not automatically have the same working pressure as the pipe simply because both have the same outside diameter.
For Hansen Easy Fit MD compression fittings, the manufacturer commonly publishes:
| Fitting size | Maximum working pressure at 20°C |
|---|---|
| 16–63 mm | 16 bar |
| 75–100 mm | 12.5 bar |
These ratings apply to the relevant Hansen product series. Always verify the exact model, pipe compatibility, operating temperature and application before ordering.
Depending on the fitting system and manufacturer, materials may include:
Material suitability must be checked against the conveyed medium, operating temperature and environmental conditions.
Certification and approval must be verified against the exact brand, fitting type, size and pressure class offered.
Please confirm the following before placing an order:
HDPE fittings from different systems are not automatically interchangeable. Butt-fusion, electrofusion, socket-fusion and compression fittings use different installation methods and may have different dimensional and pressure limitations.
The maximum working pressure of the completed pipeline is determined by its lowest-rated component. Pipe OD, PE grade, SDR, pressure class, operating temperature and fitting compatibility must all be confirmed before installation.
Gas installations require fittings specifically manufactured, identified and approved for gas service. Standard water fittings should not automatically be used for gaseous fuels.
